DIY Holiday Wreath

This year I wanted to make my own wreath, which I had never done before.  I started out by going to Trader Joes and buying a plain wreath that I could build on. Then I went to a local garden shop here in Chicago, Gethsemane Gardens, to get a few goodies. They were nice enough to give me the left over pieces from the tree stumps (see below how I used them).  I also purchased dried green sponge mushrooms to add a variety of color and texture.  The rest of the items I used, I already had at my apartment.

What you need!
8 oranges
Cut the oranges into 1/4” slices and place them on a cooking sheet. No cooking spray needed. You bake them for about 8-10 hours at 170 degrees.
dried fruit
This is what they will look like once they are all dried out!
step by step
I started out by placing the objects on the wreath before I hot glued them. You want to make sure that the spacing is right before you commit to a permanent location.
Finished product!
I love the oranges.
Door all decked out!
